HBO
Character pages
I worked for at the Home Box Office (HBO), where I mainly focused on editing photos. While I was employed there, I had the opportunity to assist on a number of projects and titles that would be viewable on the company's website. One example is that I resized and edited all the character photos used for Westworld, a recent show that aired while I was employed. Some of the photos required background extensions and other minor adjustments.
e-mail layouts
Another company project I had the opportunity to work on was helping to arrange the layout for the weekly MAXGO newsletters (left). I was in charge of collecting assets, arranging them according to the company's template, and then sending them out to be retouched or approved. Creating the newsletter involved a variety of different departments, which taught me more about how many people are involved in the creation of a final product.
When I returned to HBO, I was able to help with the rebranding process that MAXGO was undergoing. For this, the design team focused on creating a rebranded version of the newsletters, of which I created an initial variation (right).
ICON DESIGN
Every month HBO would create "MAX PACKS", or collections of similar films for MAXGO users to look through. For the Supersized Sequels MAX PACK I was asked to help design the icon that would be used in the label. The challenge was to create one that looked like a bucket of popcorn, so I made a variety of iterations to present with my mentor there. From there, another designer refined the icon until it resembled the one seen on the finished design, which was on the MAXGO website for a time. Below is some of my process work for creating the icon.
